Very interesintg reflections on this book, which I haven’t read.
Just wondering how Crouch sees the EU or does he look at it specifically? In his view, does it work towards the regulation of large corporations or do little to ensure such regulation? Regards Tim

Is he the Rousseau des nous jours.? His argument that the era whose political foundations were laid by Hobbes/Rousseau is coming to its end is compelling. His political analysis first elaborated in the Politics of Nature and now incorporated in his stunning synthesis An Enquiry into Modes of Existence An Anthropology of the Moderns could well provide the understanding of politics and how it crosses with economics that we need.

I also reviewed the book for the journal ‘Transfer’. We converge on a lot of core themes: http://trs.sagepub.com/content/19/3/431.short
